Semi-Volunteers

Semi-Volunteer Invitation

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I would like to invite you to consider to contribute your time, skills and devotion, semi-volunteering in Myanmar as a teacher/ trainer.
I am Anna Huang originally from Myanmar. I am the business owner of Australia Myanmar Education Services (AMES). My QEAC qualification number is K468 and I run a hotel for over 12 years. I am a permanent residence of Australia living in Canberra. I maintain a strong network in Myanmar business and education. I am setting up this initiative to promote Australia education with the support of volunteers.
Myanmar youth has much in need of education. AMES is aimed to provide the platform for bridging and facilitating Australia Myanmar education link.
One of the services we provide is “Australia Myanmar Education Services” as an education agent in the emerging market in Myanmar. Moreover, AMES would like to broaden the company in student education services by providing short courses. It is not only to expose the student with Australia education, but it will also pave the way to student’s enrollment to Australian educational institutions. The AMES comprehensive approach overall will benefit the students as well as increase the publicity of Australia Education branding as “future unlimited”.  This is an initiative to showcase Australia Education and provide study opportunities for Myanmar students.
We are focusing the short courses on two categories:
  1. English Language Proficiency Courses (ELPC)
  2. Professional Development Training Courses (PDTC)
How are we going to do implement? We are going to organise English language training or the volunteers expertise as professional development training courses as semi-volunteer resource and time availability.
We are going to post the time table along with the expertise courses. An expression of interest through our office in Myanmar will be marketed to different sectors, cities, and communities. An information package will be prepared for potential students.
Ideally, we would like to provide accommodation, transportation expenses, and partial living expenses. We would also consider scholarships for one third of the students from NGO/INGO staffs, community, local charity, volunteers and outstanding students with financial hardships.
Depending on the expressions of interests of paid students, AMES may have to adjust the compensation package and it may or may not be feasible to provide the course. Please refer the course program options for idea on the cost with semi-volunteering time. The semi-volunteer could decide to take the semi-volunteer opportunity considering AMES offer.
Please put in the available time for semi-volunteering, the expertise courses, and others by filling in semi-volunteers form. It will not be a commitment but as expression of interest for semi-volunteering. However, we expect to fulfill the commitment if we do not have to adjust the compensation package.
The semi-volunteer programs are to be operated under the AMES Company Limited as registered company in Myanmar. This company was set up to facilitate the delivery of international and local education for Myanmar residents.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration in advance.

Yours sincerely,
 Anna Huang (Ms) Business Owner

Safety, Risk Management Plan

Safety is the our concern

With traveling, there will always be certain degree of risk, and could not guarantee incidents will not occur. We do endeavour to do everything possible to control risk and, have an effective risk management plan.
Please look into government travel website, smart travel, safe travel for your understanding regarding oversea travel risks. We do outline all the potential risks, access risk levels, put the control measures to minimise the risks effectively. AMES risk management plan is available upon request.
At present, the semi-volunteer position requires the organising of insurance to cover your health as you feel necessary. Unfortunately AMES do not have the volunteer insurance and public liability insurance cover due to the banking limitations.
